Christina von Hodenberg (directeur van het German Historical Institute, London) verzorgt op 21 oktober een masterclass voor masterstudenten Duitslandstudies en (R)MA History. Het werk van Von Hodenberg draait om generaties, gender en de geschiedenis van emoties in het moderne Europa; ze verrichtte o.a. cutting edge research over vrouwen als actoren in de studentenrevolte van de 1960s.
Prof. dr. Christina von Hodenberg (German Historical Institute, London) will teach a masterclass to students of MA Duitslandstudies and (R)MA History. Hodenberg's research has focused on generations, gender and the history of emotions in modern Europe. More recent, she conducts research on 'Ageing' and on how historians may use outdated social scientific data. In this masterclass, she will teach a student class in intensive text and source discussion.
Some reading will be due in preparation, the texts will circulate a week prior to the event. Included will be her article “Writing Women’s Agency into the History of the Federal Republic: “1968,” Historians, and Gender”, Central European History 52 (2019), 87–106.
The masterclass will take place in Bushuis E1.02 and is open for students MA Duitslandstudies, MA History and RMA History students. The number of participants is limited.
