Op 18 juni organiseert het DIA in het kader van zijn 30-jarig bestaan het Falling Walls Lab Amsterdam. Studenten en young professionals krijgen tijdens deze Science Slam de kans hun innovatieve en baanbrekende idee of onderzoek in 3 minuten voor een professionele jury te pitchen. De winnaar reist in november af naar de Falling Walls Global Finale in Berlijn.
De voertaal van dit evenement is Engels.
On 18 June 2026, the DIA will host the Falling Walls Lab Amsterdam as part of its 30th anniversary.
During this Science Slam, students and young professionals will pitch their innovative and groundbreaking idea or research in 3 minutes to a professional jury. The central question is:
Following the fall of the Berlin Wall, where will walls come down and breakthroughs occur in the near future?
The winner will travel to Berlin in November for the Falling Walls Global Finale.
The jury consists of:
- Felix Bohr: author and journalist at the weekly magazine Der Spiegel
- Anahit Galstyan: Head of Agronomy at BASF
- Leah Niederhausen: PhD candidate at the University of Humanistic Studies, specializing in Restitution, Archives, and Historical Justice
- Thomas Walter: Senior Policy Officer at the German Embassy in The Hague
- Caspar David Peter: Associate Professor at the Rotterdam School of Management
