Artlaunch presents Amsterdam meets Berlin-Kreuzberg on Friday May 25th @ Studio 80, Amsterdam... With DJ-sets by Ipek (S036, Berlin), Martijn (ExcessiveMachine) and Trashling (Spellbound).

DJ Ipek Ipekcioglu has stormed the Berlin club-music scene with her explosive innovative fusions - a burning mix of oriental-dancefloor-sounds combined with club, house, techno, and queer classics. Her style, is a groovy, feminine, strong, sensual vibe that incorporates Nu-Oriental Dance, Pop, Desi-Bollywood-Bhangra-Indian-Soundz, Breakbeatz, Tech Buka House, Asian Elektroniks, and Queerdance. Her creations feature an exquisite confluence of all these styles mixed with Oriental and Asian Soundattack. Ipek's mixes provide surprising breaks to the steady course of club music. She also organizes parties and events, e.g. Starlights, Stage "Oriental Bazaar" at the Berlin Mardi Gras, InTransit Festival-Club, and Teddy Awards in Berlin. Ipek Ipekcioglu, resident DJ at SO36/Berlin is one of the masterminds behind the cult clubnight "Gayhane", an event that attracts various sub-cultures from the gay-lesbian as well as the different immigrant communities in Berlin... The German equivalent to the UK's superhot "Attack of Asian Sounds".
Our resident DJ Martijn (ExcessiveMachine) will explore the many different sides of Berlin influenced House & Techno... While DJ Thrashling (Spellbound) focuses on the darker sounds of music.
As special treats we will have visuals by our VJs AlexEtJeremy... and a performance by Michelle. And finally, our backroom (which opens around midnight) is hosted by DJs Toon & Tanzbereit.
