Waarvoor staat onderzoek en innovatie made in Germany? Moderatie: Mario Daniels (DIA).
The students, graduates and young professionals are offered the opportunity to present their innovative and ground-shaking idea or research in front of a professional jury. The central question is: Where will – in the footsteps of the fall of the Berlin Wall – in the near future walls fall and breakthroughs take place? The winner will participate in the global Falling Walls Lab Final and the prestigious Falling Walls Conference in Berlin, where leaders from science, industry, and policy-making meet and discuss which walls will be the next to fall in science and society.
The jury consists of Moritz Schmid-Drechsler, Head of Press and Cultural Section at German Embassy The Hague, Mariska van der Giessen, Cross-border Expert and International Entrepreneurship Professor at NHL Stenden, Selma de Mink, Scientific Director of the Max Planck Institute for Astrophysics, Joris van Doornick, CEO & Co-founder of dating app 'Breeze' and Katharina Hanika, PHD Graduate and Educational Specialist at Wageningen University.
Peter van Harten is director of Isah Germany. He is also Ambassador for Smart Industry and member of the steering board where he is responsible for the international collaborations.
Mario Daniels is DAAD-Fachlektor at Duitsland Instituut Amsterdam and historian of international history of science and technology.
